"Insightful Account: Witness Recounts the Moments Leading to Woman's Fatal Fall in Nairobi"

 

It was a tragic scene that unfolded in Ngara, Nairobi on Tuesday morning after a 25-year-old woman fell to her death from the tenth floor of an apartment building.

According to area residents, the incident occurred in the early hours before the busy streets below filled up with people going about their day-to-day activities.

In comments to the press, an eyewitness who only gave his name as Joseph gave a chilling account of the heartbreaking incident.

“It was around 8:00 am when I saw someone fall on the electric cables while I was seated outside the building. That is all I saw,” he recalled.

Joseph said the victim, a mother of one child, appeared to have fallen directly on the cables before then plunging to the ground below.

"It all happened so fast. One moment she was up there and the next her body was on the ground. It was not a sight anyone should have to see," the distraught eyewitness noted.

Police officers from the nearby Ngara Police Station arrived shortly after receiving distress calls from area residents.

They cordoned off the scene for investigations as forensic experts documented the evidence. Police also launched a probe to determine what could have led to the woman taking such a drastic step from the tenth floor.

CCTV cameras installed at the apartment and surrounding buildings are being scrutinized for additional clues.

"We are treating this as a tragic incident until our investigations indicate otherwise. Our condolences to the family of the deceased during this difficult time," said an officer at the scene.

The woman's remains were moved to the city morgue as police notify next of kin.
