In a series of Instagram updates on Friday, February 20, 2026, the socialite revealed that she isn’t just in California for the views – she’s there to move her money.
Framing the trip as a strategic financial expansion, Vera shared a snap from inside a high-end American bank, informing her millions of followers that she is in the process of diversifying her wealth.
“Opening a bank account today. Offshore accounts always a good idea,” she wrote in one post.
Clearly not satisfied with just one safety net, Vera disclosed that she plans to have multiple offshore accounts.
“I think I’ll open like 3 bank accounts in USA,” she added.
Establishing a US bank account is a common move for international entrepreneurs; it allows non-citizens to pay global bills and access financial products, like high-interest savings or dollar-based investments, that are often more stable than those in their home jurisdictions.
The banking spree follows a week of headlines for Vera Sidika, who recently set the internet ablaze by offering a Valentine’s Day lunch date for a staggering Ksh2 million ($15,000).
“$15,000 for Vera Sidika as your date on Valentine’s Day. Got hundreds of men in my DMs asking me to be their Valentine. So may the best one win,” Vera wrote on Facebook on Monday, February 9, 2026.
The diva announced the offer via her socials, revealing that it is informed by the many requests she has received, while also attaching the value for her time.
While critics labelled the move clout-chasing, Vera insisted her DMs were full of serious bids from high-net-worth individuals.
“It’s a week to Valentine’s, and guess what, my DM is full…wanaume! Everybody, Vee, could you be my Valentine?” Vera said.
“If you are going to make it worth it, I might just consider it, but here is the catch,” she added before detailing her requirement.
